This weeks piece of video game news coming your way now. Wii Sports Resort has once again claimed the top spot in the GfK Chart Track gaming charts, only just beating the recently released Wolfenstein game in sales.

Wii Sports Resort was at the top spot for a number of weeks before Ashes Cricket 2009 took the place two weeks ago, however, they have now managed to reclaim their crown. This now gives the title 15 weeks as number 1 game on all formats since it’s release.

Unfortunately, the recently released Wolfenstein game didn’t manage to get overall top spot. With 2000 less sales that Wii Sports Resort, the game only managed to get to the second place in the all formats chart, although it did get number 1 in the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC charts.

Although Activision are a little disappointed that they didn’t claim the top spot, they should still be happy with second place, plus still having Call of Duty: World at War and Prototype still within the top 10 sellers.

However, Activision and Nintendo might both be knocked off the top spots with the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum this week. This new Batman game has already become popular within the pre-order charts, plus with the demo that was recently released, sites that do video game reviews have been going crazy.
